Elie Youssef Najem = crook?
Update 29th April 2010
The Star reported today that The Lower Syariah Court in Kuala Lumpur has annulled the marriage of Elie Youssef Najem and Farinnie Mohd Farid, 24.
Reasons for granting of annulment – Elie the bad boy:
- didn’t give any money since July 2007;
- beat her up;
- forced her to do the wild thing “unnaturally”;
- forced her to wear a cross and celebrate Easter!
Typically, Elie was absent from court.
But no, that didn’t mean he’s not in Malaysia – in fact he’s been very busy playing the field right in the heart of the capital city.
On the afternoon of 26th April he was caught in a compromising position with Roslin Tahir, 49 in a room at Wisma Belia, charged in court the next day & photographed, Elie in a typically grand pose:

When will Malaysian ladies ever learn??? But still, judging from Roslin’s bag, they could still shop in style?!

Update 20th April 2010
The downward spiral for the self-confessed RM175 billion dollar man continues.
It was reported by The Star today that:
- Elie Youssef Najem broke all taboos when he sent an SMS to his father-in-law that said: “I tell you, Farid, I am out of the suffering that your family put on me. I promise you, to Jesus, if any member of your family tries anything with me or my wife, I (will) make sure they don’t exist any more. Your daughter is nothing to me. And she’s sleeping with other men.” That guy is crazy, he promised even murder to the Second Person of the Trinity!
- Elie’s mother-in-law, Sofia, 61 tried to calm down an argument between Elie and Farinnie but instead he took a long parang and threatened to kill Sofia.
- Sofia was not allowed to speak in Malay to Farinnie, only in English.
- Elie claimed to be a Christian and didn’t allow Farinnie to practise Islam.
- Elie forced Farinnie her to eat in public during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
- For about two years, he did not give her any money, forcing her family to provide for her and her 2 children.
Typically, Elie was unrepresented and absent from the Syariah court where the case was being heard.

Update 4th March 2010

Controversial “billionaire”, “prince”, “3rd richest man in the world, worth USD46 billion” Elie Youssef Najem’s humiliation is complete. Today, The Star reported that his Malaysian wife Farinnie Mohd Farid testified at the Kuala Lumpur Lower Syariah Court that:
- Elie frequently forced her to perform sex in front of a camera, to be viewed by the general public, even during her period.
- he even sodomised her a few times.
- if she resisted, he would be angry and beat her up.
- she was constantly abused physically and emotionally ever since she got married to him.
- he pulled her hair in full view of the public in early 2007 at Genting Highlands after he lost at the gambling table
- the last straw was when he showed his genitals, over the internet, to a fellow chatter in August 2008. She left him then.
- he shoved a table to her stomach when she 6 months pregnant with their first child.
Compare that to what was reported in The Star on 10th January 2006, when they were interviewed by the press and were lovey-dovey in public:

They’ve been married for 6 months at that time.
Then 3-months pregnant Farinnie, 19 was quoted to have written a poem that went:
No matter what they say, when it comes to love, two hearts are inseparable. No matter what they say, when it comes to love, nothing is impossible.
On allegations that she was “sold” by her family to Najem and that she was merely a gold digger:
Kurang ajar punya orang! How dare they say such things!
On what happened when they met for the first time in early 2005:
There was just something about him. It was just a crush at first, but when I saw the way he hand
