Artist, as in painting and stuff.
Uwe Max Jensen, 34 lives in Aarhus, Denmark and is branded a “shock artist” and has been for years, due to his use of provocative material for his work, which includes his own blood, urine and excrement instead of the usual things.
The soft-spoken father of three does not understand all the fuss. In his own words: “I am not a lunatic nor a provocateur. People do not like the natural materials that I use in my work. They’re free of charge, and we all have it in our bodies.”
Last time I checked, his latest “prank” is typical of his irreverent style: every morning and evening in the last week of July, Jensen walked his dog Rocky on the lawn of the Aarhus gallery, the last word in cutting-edge art, leaving “messages” from his pet on the grass.
He justified his act as “a gift for the museum because they do not have to pay for the exhibit.”
