As reported by The Star on 28th November 2006, a Japanese restaurant chef who was charged with masturbating in public claimed he had a skin disorder that caused him to remove his pants to scratch his private parts.

Joenaidey Ramis, 25, told the court that he was suffering from tinea, an infection of the skin caused by fungi. He admitted to “scratching it” on Feb 2, 2005 around 10.30am at a parking lot of a shopping complex in front of a 24-year-old girl.

According to the facts of the case, Joenaidey had followed her on the day of the offence and masturbated beside her car at the same parking lot. Now, if he really had an itch, why oh why didn’t he pick a better spot? And why, 4 days later, did he stare at the same girl in the same parking lot?

Joenaidey paid the RM1,500 fine.
